The beautiful range from Kevin Murphy ticks all the boxes when it comes to our organic and ethical principles.
Their haircare range is born from the same philosophy as skincare and they take the responsibility to care for your hair as seriously as we do. What we love about Kevin Murphy is that they are mindful about every aspect of their product range. They consider everything, from the way they grow and harvest their ingredients, to the packaging it arrives in and their entire business model.
Skincare for your hair
The philosophy ‘Skincare for your hair’ runs through every single drop of Kevin Murphy’s products and they take their organic credentials very seriously. All products are free from ppd, sulphate, paraben, ammonia and silicone free without compromising on performance, strength, style and longevity. The colour range is also impressive, standing head and shoulders above main-stream chemical-laden products. With Kevin Murphy on board we have opened up a rainbow of colour opportunities that we’ve never before been able to offer our clients without compromising our ethos.
Ocean Waste Plastic
Horrified by the growing issue of plastic poluting our seas, Kevin Murphy have teamed up with Danish company, Pack-Tech to gather, clean, shread and reclaim ocean plastics for their product packaging. In this way Kevin Murphy will become 100% recycled, clearing up our oceans and reducing their environmental impact yet more.
They work with companies that use micro cultivation, organic growing practices or ecologically sound wild harvesting techniques. They use only sustainable, renewable sources and harvest using environmentally friendly methods. All of this ensures the highest natural quality of ingredients without compromising the environment.
Their packaging is either biodegradable or can be recycled. Where possible they use recycled paper packaging and all other card or paper used is recyclable. They have also designed their bottles and packets to hold more volume whilst using 40% less plastic than high-street products to minimize waste and reduce the space they take up.
Kevin Murphy products are cruelty free and approved by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The organisation is also part of The Climate Reality Project, donating to help reduce their carbon footprint where design and working practices can’t.
But lets not just talk about what the product doesn’t contain (all the nasties!) the range is full to bursting with gorgeous goodies.
Good enough to eat
Vitamins and amino acids repair the outer surface of the hair, thickening the hair and reducing the formation of split ends.
Moisturisers from Mango butter and Murumuru butter smooth the cuticles and soften the hair.
Extracts from Peruvian Bark, Baobab, Bamboo and Orange Blossom infuse the hair with weightless moisture.
Antioxidants from Kakadu Plum, Orchid, Lotus Flower and Desert Lime reduce breakage and repair chemical damage naturally.
The list goes on and on. We’ll be highlighting products over the coming weeks and months as we share the new range with you.
As if all this wasn’t enough the products also smell and feel amazing and we know that our clients will enjoy the Kevin Murphy experience at pHd Malvern.
